I am an Explorer!!  My passion for travel began at the age of 17 when I enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in England. I savor discovering new places, people and ideas.   Some of my most memorable excursions were Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Norway, Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Wales, and most states in the USA.  I’ve experienced all -inclusive resorts, solo excursions, adventure tours, cruises and guided tours.   

My travels have led me to explore some of Europe's most awe-inspiring historical structures. I've wandered through the formidable halls of Edinburgh Castle, Prague Palace, Basílica de la Sagrada Família, Rila Monastery, and Buckingham Palace. These architectural wonders represent just a fraction of the magnificent castles and cathedrals I've had the privilege to visit over the years. My journeys have led me through the corridors of history, exploring ancient wonders and archaeological marvels across Europe. In Scotland's Orkney Islands, I walked among the remarkably preserved Neolithic stone dwellings of Skara Brae and Maeshowe, walked along side Hadrian's Wall, and toured the haunting ruins of Pompeii. My explorations of Roman heritage extended across the Mediterranean, where I encountered well-preserved ruins in Spain, witnessed the grandeur of Rome itself, and uncovered lesser-known Roman sites in Bulgaria. These encounters with the tangible remnants of past civilizations have provided me with a profound connection to human history, spanning millennia and crossing cultural boundaries. Each site visited has added a unique chapter to my personal anthology of historical exploration. These experiences are just a glimpse of the numerous adventures that have shaped my life as an intrepid explorer. 

Friends and family often inquire about my opinions on vacation tours. In 2024, I experienced a Central European Odyssey!!  A guided excursion took me through the heart of Central Europe, encompassing four countries in one unforgettable journey. The itinerary centered around extended stays in the magnificent capitals of Budapest, Vienna, and Prague, with an enriching day trip to Bratislava, Slovakia. This meticulously planned adventure offered the perfect blend of structured exploration and personal freedom. The tour's attention to detail was impeccable. Expert local guides in each city provided invaluable insights, while private coaches equipped with refreshments ensured comfortable travel between destinations. The convenience of having luggage seamlessly transported allowed me to focus entirely on the experiences at hand. To maximize my time and adjust to the new time zone, I arrived in Budapest a few days before the official tour began. Similarly, I extended my stay in Prague after the tour concluded, allowing for deeper immersion in these captivating cities. The thoughtful itinerary struck an ideal balance between guided activities and leisure time. This flexibility permitted both relaxation and the opportunity to pursue additional adventures based on personal interests. Throughout the journey, the level of service and attention to detail left me feeling thoroughly pampered and carefree. This well-crafted tour exemplified the benefits of guided travel, combining comfort, convenience, and cultural enrichment in one seamless package.
